Lizzie enjoyed Thanksgiving at Anastasia's house. She and "Ee-ee-da" spent the whole mean playing unsupervised in Anastasia's room. Both sets of parents were very proud to see their girls playing together without supervision! Anyway, they are interacting much more. They talk to each other, and clearly play with each other. It is great to see them grow up together.
We had a doctor appointment on Wednesday, and Lizzie didn't have to get any shots!! Yippee. Her health seems great, and she continues to look like a giant, about 98th percentile in height and 90th in weight. Big girl.
Her potty success keeps evolving. Over the past few days, she has gotten all of her poops in the potty, but after a couple pee-accidents, she is rejecting the potty fro peeing. I think the stress of trying to poop on the potty as well as a few accidents have caused some sort of short-circuit in her brain. I'm sure this will pass as quickly as it started. But the good news is that she has started pooping on the potty.
In addition, she is clearly holding her pee during the night. She usually gets up once, and I take her to the potty. She pees and then goes back to sleep. This is a huge improvement over the old regime. In the past, I would try to settle her when she woke up, and it would take about an hour to get her back to sleep. Seems she had to pee and didn't want to go in her diaper. Also, she often would poop as well, but there is no more of that with the quick wakes for pee and with most of the poops going in the potty during the day. So the night waking is very quick and easy now.
