Lizzie steamrolled three more milestones yesterday.
First thing in the morning, she passed a rattle from one hand to the other. Eric saw it twice, but I missed the excitement both times.
Just a nap later, I was treated to Lizzies's first ever laugh. We'd been suspecting her gurgle-coos or shrieks might be her laugh -- and perhaps they're variants -- but this was an honest to goodness "huh huh huuuuhh" laugh. Really low sounding, actually, and an absolute crack-up to hear. She did it again later in the afternoon, again with Eric out of the room. What's so funny? Apparently my rendition of "My Darlin' Clementine". hmf.
THe last milestone is parent-driven: Lizzie had her first walk in the "big girl stroller" sans carseat. She seems much happier in the more spacious stroller, though she still got too warm (despite being half dressed and covered only by gauzy burp cloths to keep her in the shade). Add that to the list of firsts: got hot in the sunshine (it was 80 here) and had a good ol' crank-fest for the rest of the afternoon. Oh, and blew out her diaper, big time. Craptastic!
Nap time's almost over. Ciao.
