Well, today was Liz's first day of school at her new school. Seems to be a smashing success at this point. I got her to the door of the classroom and she just skipped away into the room, didn't look back at all. I'm not surprised. Kiddo needs a change of pace and a new source of stimulation. The routine at home this summer had gotten a bit worn out. Hopefully school will straighten out some of her 2-ishness that has been appearing lately. She will have lots of role models and it should be a good environment for her to learn to be a big girl and to learn to want to be a big girl.
Lizzie has a new playhouse -- which is really just a sheet modified and tacked in the door of her closet. She loves it, colors in it, reads in it. Usually she needs accompaniment, but today she got out crayons, colored in the playhouse, and then put everything away. Wow. Did I mention that today was the first day of school? Lizzie and Alice also had a good game of "walk through the playhouse / sheet" today. You just walk through the sheet, laugh, wait for your sister to walk through the sheet, fall down if you are Alice, then do it again. Goodtimes.
Bye for now. More pics coming soon.
