Poor Lizzie was not herself this afternoon. She got home, ate a few bites of lunch, and announced she was going upstairs to take a nap. I barely made it up the stairs behind her before she had climbed into her crib (a new favorite trick, btw -- but she's still never climbed out!) She asked for PJs and a diaper, pulled them on, and went right to bed. She slept 4 hours before we finally checked on her... she was lying in bed, quiet as a mouse. "Lizzie, are you feeling okay?" "yes." "Lizzie, do you want to get up?" "yes please." Docile little thing. With a fever at 104. What the heck?!? Yet another virus?! Ugg!!
And this comes right on the heels of another miserable cold! Just this past Sunday, I'd decided Lizzie was finally on the road to recovery from the last cold, having topped out at a fever of 103.5 10 days ago.... (And naturally, we've ALL gotten that one. Alice and I are still fighting it, while Eric and Lizzie got through the woods a few days ahead of us.)
Really, this preschooler illness business is just too much. Half of Lizzie's class was out last week, and it looks like the rest of them will be out this week. Sheesh. Suddenly home (pre)schooling seems so appealing.
Oh. For the record, that was me (Mom) writing. Dad happened to leave himself signed into gmail on my laptop...
