Just a quick note on the past few weeks. Lizzie continues to expand her vocabulary rapidly, both through signs and verbally. It's amazing how much repetition we're starting to hear. `Cucumber', for example, is remarkably understandable if I say it first.
We've been spending most days outside -- the dogwoods are in full bloom, as are redbud, tulips, japonica, azaleas, and very soon roses (to name a few).
We went to the dogwood carnival yesterday, where Lizzie rode her first carousel. It was a bust. She rode on the horse, held by her dad, for all of one cycle, at which point she wiggled onto Eric's hip and clung for dear life for the rest of the ride. She was so intrigued when the other kids were on it, but apparently the idea was better than the reality...
From the new pictures, you'll note that coloring is now a kep part of every day. She loves her crayons, though mostly for their gastronomic qualities.
