Winter Fun

Hi there everyone,

We have a fresh 2 feet of snow here in VA. I took Lizzie out for a walk in the sling, and she had a great time. She got a real kick out of the snow falling on her face. She didn't do to well when I put her down. She had a bit of fun playing in one of the walkways I shovelled, and she got to eat snow for the first time. Other than that, she was a bit apprehensive of the snow, and wasn't too active when outside. It was too deep for her to have any chance of playing in it. Alas, when it finally snows here, we get too much!

Tomorrow, Lizzie and Emily are flying home to NH for the winter holidays. It will be Lizzie's first plane ride. Good luck Mommy... I get to drive the car. I think its better for everyone that way. Emily doesn't have to drive at all. Lizzie does not have to ride in the car, and no one has to drive with a screaming 13 month old in the back seat.

Lizzie has been doing a lot of walking lately. It is her most preferred method of locomotion. She still crawls a bit, mostly because she isn't so good at getting up into a standing position unless she has something to hold onto. She has a few new words, "thank you" and "cheese" come to mind. But, "kitty cat" or " kee-ca" remains her favorite. She has graduated to eating table food almost exclusively, and eats just about everything we eat, including her first cookie yesterday. Formula is long gone, and we go through about 2 gallons of milk each week.

Thats about all the news I can think of. We'll have more to report after we return from NH. We'll have a bunch of new pics posted on Picasa soon.
