9 Month check up

Lizzie had her 9 month checkup with the doc today. She continues to thrive, and is healthy and happy (though the doc did say something about "chunky monkey", but I think that's a good thing at this age.) We got the green light on wheat and pasta (and pretty much everything else, save citrus, peanuts, shellfish, egg whites, and cow's milk). Lizzie celebrated at lunch today with her first bread, which she devoured, first torn into little pieces and later as a big chewable rusk. We'll have a little pasta with dinner.

Though Lizzie is getting huge in our eyes, she's actually dropped a little in the precentiles. (Her height to weight ratio remains firmly in the 50% range though, as always). She now weighs 21lb, 10.3 oz and measures 28.625" tall. No vaccinations today, so it was a quick and easy visit. Flu shots are in the offing, though, come October.

The big news to report this week is sharing. Lizzie has started to offer me cheerios from her tray, and even tried to put her paci strap in my mouth. So generous! A regulah' Mother Theresa.
