A number of firsts this week:- My first week at work full time (no more sneaking home for feeding)
- First game of peekaboo intiated BY LIZZIE (she pulled a blanket over her head, then quickly pulled it off, grinning wildly, again and again and again....and again....) Too cute. Her mom and dad were rapt (and so very proud).
- First real stinker poop. Took a while for the solids to kick in, but they're here now! For the record, Lizzie's added rice cereal, water, sweet potatoes, pears, and bananas to her diet. She tried peas and has indicated that no, they will not be added now. Perhaps not ever.
- First 'M' sound. Mma Mmme Mmmu etc. Again, so proud.
- First real swim in the pool (at the nice, warm, UVa kiddies pool) and first play in the splash park with (sadistic) dad.
- And, drumroll..... First tooth! Or rather, teeth. When I was feeding Lizzie on Saturday morning, she grabbed my hand and stuck it in her mouth, then bit down. A little odd, but I had enough rice cereal on my fingers that this didn't seem like a bad idea. Sure enough, two little teeth just poking through her bottom gum. Lizzie seems to be doing well with teething, though she has something in her mouth all day, literally, and her appetite is way off. We'll keep you posted, but so far so good.
In short, we've been having a great time! Hope you have too.
