Sleeping (or not) through the night

Seems everyone's first question is "how is she sleeping?" Good question! We've had some ups and downs -- the cold was certainly no help -- and think (hope!) we're nearing the end of night time feedings.

About 3 weeks ago, shortly before Lizzie got sick, she was sleeping from 5 or 6pm (bedtime) to 2 or 3am, waking to eat, then sleeping through to 7 or 8am. Then she got sick and we (mostly the me part of we -- certain gender disadvantage) were getting up two or even three times between 6pm and 7am.

So we're trying a new tactic (or is it a strategy?) -- waking her at 10 or 11pm, right before we hit the hay, for a "dream feed" in hopes it would last 'til morning. It worked a few days ago and again last night though even then we were up 6 or more times to quickly soothe her back to sleep (i.e. stick in the magic pacifier). Not perfect, but improving.

All this aside, Elizabeth is in high spirits. She's very much enjoying her hands and putting toys in her mouth. She is also exceptionally vocal with a broad range of coos, squeals, and grunts. We never wonder how she's feeling -- this is a very expressive little girl.
As always, I'll close with a few photos.
